Bob Packer
Locomotive horn expert with
over 20 years experience

Bob Packer has been working with locomotive air horns for over twenty years, and has had experience with nearly everything out there. In the past he has offered several services, though today he is no longer in the business of repairing or restoring horns. However, Bob still does have many Nathan parts, as well as Leslie diaphragms, for sale. Please note that Bob will NOT take on any more restoration jobs, and also he does NOT sell complete horns, only parts. If you are in need of some parts for your horns, feel free to contact Mr. Packer.

repairs, rebuilds, and the like

Ken Kanne and his Horn Hospital have been serving the needs of horn enthusiasts for several years now. Ken himself is a master machinist, and is able to repair anything which is broken on a locomotive horn, and then some. His repairs are as professional as possible, meeting or exceeding standards set by the original manufacturers! In addition to repairs, Ken is highly skilled at modifications and fabrications, including the building of diaphragms for certain horns including Leslie Tyfon horns. If you need any work done to a horn, Ken's Horn Hospital will be your one-stop solution!

Michael S. Muha
Leslie SuperTyfon expert
and master machinist

Mike Muha has also been in the horn hobby for some time now. His main interests seem to lie with the Leslie SuperTyfon horns, though he does enjoy all horns. Because of this interest, he has made significant research into the theory behind the SuperTyfon's design, and has perfected the methods used to restore a SuperTyfon horn to operating condition. Nearly any non-functional power chamber can be saved by the talents of Mike Muha. His expertise does not stop with Leslie horns, though. For instance, Mike has also made many repairs to and remachined many AirChime/Nathan M series horns.

Horns, Inc.
"Home of the Diesel
Airhorn Primer"

Ed Kaspriske has been collecting diesel air horns for many years, and has amassed a great knowledge of these devices, as well as a significant collection of his own. Awhile ago, Ed started producing videos, both of his horn hobby as well as general railroad videos (which are cataloged with Oh Well Productions, also on his website). One of Ed's most popular, and most informative, videos is his Diesel Airhorn Primer, which covers all aspects of the horn hobby in video form, and is well worth checking out. You can visit his webpage for more videos, as well as an online look into his hobby!
